Ron Schober | Executive Director

Ron Schober has been the Executive Director of Goodwill Rescue Mission in Newark since December 2009. He came to Goodwill to foster renewal and vision across the mission, and enable even greater financial stewardship and faith-driven operational excellence.

This is a second career for Ron who brings to Goodwill Rescue Mission over 35 years of management experience with two global corporations based in New Jersey. He has expertise in accounting, cost management and controls, financial analysis, capital planning, and business process and operations management. Ron has also led various business process design teams as well as joint venture product development partnerships.

A life long native of New Jersey, Ron graduated from Rutgers University in Newark with a B.S. in Accounting and now works literally down the street at Goodwill Rescue Mission on University Avenue. He and his wife Nadine have two grown sons and live in Morris County where they are active members of Long Hill Chapel in Chatham, NJ. Ron has served on the elder board, been an active member of the worship music teams, led community small group ministries and served with the Alpha program leadership team.

Gerald Manning | Chief Operations Officer

Gerald oversees GRM's daily operations including our Thrift Store, Housing, Truck Routes and Vehicles, Facilities, Housing, and Food Service. He has been serving at GRM in a variety of positions since 1993. He holds a B.S. from State University of New York in Sociology. Gerald has served as a New Life Class teacher and currently leads Men's Small Groups.

William Darby Johnny | Director Of Finance

Darby Johnny oversees all Goodwill's accounting functions. He comes to Goodwill with a number of years of experience in for-profit financial management. In addition to his work with Goodwill, he also serves in the US Marine Corps Reserve.

Diana Welch | Director Of Donor Relations

Diana is committed to the core principles of Biblical stewardship, believing that God is the owner and provider of all that we need and we are simply the managers of the time, talents and resources He gives us. She is excited about connecting people that have hearts to serve the poor with the homeless and needy in Newark.

Jerome Wright | Interim Program Director

Jerome Wright is a life long resident of Newark, NJ and was hired by Goodwill Rescue Mission in 2008 as part of the men's life change program. His heart's desire is to do the will of God; it's what motivates him. He loves to see God change the lives of the men we serve at Goodwill Rescue Mission.
