Hope Totes

Would you like to help the homeless in a way that shows you really care? Goodwill is now accepting donations for "Hope Totes." A Hope Tote is a plastic bag in which you may place socks, underwear, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, and other personal care products for Goodwill to distribute to the homeless. For more information, please call (973) 621-0016, ext. 17, or email Dan Shaw.

Operation Drumstick

Each Thanksgiving, Goodwill Rescue Mission shares Thanksgiving dinner with hundreds of homeless and needy people. During this time, participants in our Discipleship Program invite family or friends to the Mission for a special celebration. We also distribute special food baskets to senior citizens.

Project Santa/Adopt-A-Family

Believe it or not its already time to start thinking about Christmas again here at the Mission! • Etch-a-Sketch's
  • Basketballs
  • Barbie Dolls (African-American figure preferred)
  • Hess Trucks
  • Paints
  • Coloring Books
  • Elmo figures

Donations of multiple numbers of any of the above items are welcome, as are gift baskets that combine items together.

Please call (973) 621-0016 x 17 if you have any questions.

Souper Bowl

The Souper Bowl is a quick and fun way for churches to raise funds for GRM. On or near Super Bowl Sunday, participants solicit a donation of one dollar per person as worshippers leave church. Proceeds go directly to our ministries. In 2001, more than 200 cities participated in Souper Bowl Sunday, raising $3,500,000 nationwide! For information about organizing Souper Bowl at your church, visit www.souperbowl.com or contact the GRM’s Development Office at 973-621-0016, ext. 17.

Easter Baskets

Show a homeless person that someone cares by making them an Easter basket! Holidays are often particularly hard for those who are separated from family and friends. The gift of an Easter basket can help fill the emotional void in someone's life, and will be a source of encouragement and strenght long after the last chocolate bunny is gone!

For more information, please call (973) 621-0016, ext. 17, or email Dan Shaw.
