With that in mind, we make sure there are a variety of ways you can support Goodwill Rescue Mission’s work of Help, Hope, and Healing.

Donate

Donate online

One of the simplest forms of giving—and most beneficial to the Mission—is a cash donation which can be made online, 24-hours a day, any day of the week. Contributing online is simple for you and your gift can be used immediately to meet the needs of the men, women and children in our care.

Donate monthly

Pledging recurring monthly gifts as a HOPE365 Partner provides the Mission with an income we can rely on while benefiting you with an efficient and trouble-free way to support our ministry. You can choose to have funds transferred from your bank account each month or we can set up a monthly charge to your credit card.

Noncash & In-kind Giving

These important giving options help offset our budget and meet our daily needs. They may also offer you significant tax incentives. Contact Gerald Manning, Director of Operations, at 973-621-9560, ext. 103, or gmanning@grmnewark.org to learn more.

  • Donations of canned goods—such as vegetables, fruits and meats—and other nonperishable items are used in the meals we provide to our residents and distributed in food boxes to those in need
  • Excess inventory and/or products your company sells that we use on a daily basis—including cleaning supplies, paper products, light bulbs, office supplies, toiletries and Bibles—allows us to put more of our donated financial gifts directly toward programs and services

Leave A Legacy

A legacy gift to Goodwill Rescue Mission is a powerful way to extend your generosity and caring beyond your lifetime. Legacy gifts can take a variety of forms, and we will be happy to work with you to design a legacy gift that fits your individual and family circumstances and meets your objectives.

The most common form of legacy gift is a bequest, which is simply a gift made through your will. A bequest gift to Goodwill Rescue Mission is an easy addition to your existing will. For information on how to make a bequest to Goodwill Rescue Mission please contact Don Hall, Legacy Giving Officer, at 973-621-9560 ext. 130 or dhall@grmnewark.org.

Donation Drives

Hosting a donation drive at your office, school, church—or even among friends and family members—is a fun way to bring people together for a meaningful cause. It also serves to raise awareness of many needs and challenges facing our community, attracting broader support for our ministry. To view the drives we rely on annually, please click here. We also welcome your suggestions of others you might like to organize!

For more information on how to start a drive in your church, school or workplace, contact Gerald Manning, Director of Operations, at 973-621-9560, ext. 103, or gmanning@grmnewark.org.

Donate a Vehicle

We’ve partnered with CARS to accept vehicle donations that benefit the Mission. So instead of sending your old car to the junkyard, visit our easy, online car donation form to get started and help provide Hope for the residents of Goodwill Rescue Mission!

Your support allows us to provide hot meals, a shower, and shelter that can often be the first step toward a transformed life. The donations will also help us continue our Life Transformation programs, which help homeless men to change their lives and Dare To Hope again.

Donate your vehicle now

You can plan now to continue your legacy of giving beyond your lifetime.  The following language is recommended when including Goodwill Rescue Mission in your Will:

To specify memorial contributions for a loved one, you may use the text below:

“Re-tweet” our messages and invite your social network to get involved in supporting the Mission’s work of rebuilding broken lives.

Be moved and inspired by videos of the men and women in our care, sharing personal testimonies about how their dignity and hope is being restored at the Mission.

From time to time you may receive emails from the Mission asking for your help with important drives or announcing special activities and events. Please take time to read them and help as you can, and then forward them to your family and friends so that they might get involved as well!

We believe prayer is the single most important daily discipline at the Mission, as we rely heavily upon God’s guidance and blessing. We invite you to pray daily for our board, staff, volunteers, donors, and the men, women and children in our care.  Together, we dedicate and surrender this ministry to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
