How Your Church Can Help the Homeless

2018 Church Partners Celebration

On Saturday, April 14, we had a wonderful afternoon of fellowship at our Church Partners Celebration with 21 churches represented. Liquid Church of Nutley, NJ led 70 guests in worship and Pastor Adams of First Baptist Church of Hillside, NJ brought an encouraging message. Church partners and leaders from New Jersey discovered more about volunteer opportunities, toured the Goodwill Rescue Mission campus and heard about new strategies to help our neighbors in need.

Your church can have significant impact in the lives of the homeless and hurting in Newark and northern New Jersey.

Goodwill Rescue Mission can help your church share God’s love with our community in practical, meaningful and lasting ways. We offer church groups volunteer opportunities which range from serving meals, sharing the Gospel’s good news at our Chapel services, special group projects and more.

Your church members will see lives touched by and transformed through God’s love and grace.

To help your church get involved and fulfill the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:40: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me,” please email Esther Slack-Metellus.
