Our Financials

Goodwill Rescue Mission is dedicated to accountability, transparency and an unwavering commitment to have the most impact in the lives of our neighbors experiencing homelessness, hunger and other crises. Founded in 1896, the Mission provides compassionate care and life transforming programs in the greater Newark community.

To better serve neighbors in need, Goodwill Rescue Mission has joined forces with The Bowery Mission. Together, we are effectively combating the epidemic of homelessness affecting more than 100,000 people in the Newark and New York metro areas and meeting the needs of significantly more people across the region. Leveraging more than 260 years of combined service, our historic organizations have united to reimagine the fight against poverty and homelessness — and to offer places of welcome, care and healing.

Goodwill Rescue Mission is a member of Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), which provides the highest standards of Christian stewardship and ethical financial practices.

Goodwill Rescue Mission is also an accredited member of the Citygate Network.
